The Battle of the Egadi Islands Project

Sicily, Italy – Summer 2024

I was a member of RPM Nautical Foundation and the associated international team that recovered, recorded, and 3D modeled Egadi ram 23 at the Battle of the Egadi Islands site. The Battle of the Egadi Islands Project is a cooperative partnership between the Sicilian Soprintendenza del Mare, RPM Nautical Foundation, and the Society for the Documentation of Submerged Sites.


Liverpool Cove Survey

Maryland, USA – Summer 2024

I was a member of the archaeological team that meticulously documented the remains of a bugeye, a traditional Chesapeake Bay sailing vessel, providing valuable insights into its construction and use. We also cataloged numerous artifacts found at the site, ranging from personal items to tools and equipment. The Liverpool Cove Survey was a nautical archaeology project supported by the Institute of Nautical Archaeology (INA).

The Actian Monument Project

Preveza, Greece – Summer 2023

I was a member of the international team that 3D scanned and modeled the naval ram sockets and naval ram fragment from Octavian’s Campsite Memorial for the Actian War in Nikopolis, Greece. Our team, directed by Dr. William M. Murray, was working under the direction of Konstantinos L. Zachos, Director of Excavations at the Victory Monument, and with the permission of the Preveza Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities (Anthi Aggeli, Ephor).


“Publishing the Warship Rams from the Last Battle of the First Punic War” Project

I was a member of the international team that recorded and 3D modeled the 24 naval rams and associated artifacts found at the Battle of the Egadi Islands site.
